4. Our Classical Washers and Dryers will except $1 coins ( ONLY )

1. The Answer is NO..

         Why...

• All card systems will include some type of surgcharge / transaction fee.
• If another Laundromat / Laundry / Laundrette says they don't include a surgcharge / transaction fee then they are not telling you the full truth.
• The ONLY way they can say this is that everyone, whether they use Cash or Card is paying for this hidden surgcharge / transaction Fee..  and it's Embedded into the price of the washing / drying.  
• Example $8 ( Triple Load Washer ) $7.88 + $0.12 embedded surgcharge. ( Based on 1.5% ) Everyone Pays.
• A rule of thumb a surge charge / transaction fee on using a card system will include a fee between 1.2% - 1.5% and most likely more. 
• In this above Example... If you go to an up market Laundry with bells and whistles with Music / WiFi / Card Systems / Baskets, whether you pay with Cash or Card you the customer will all be paying for these Extra features...   it is NOT Free.  
• At these Laundry's with the above example, people with Cash ( Coins ) are worse of as they are indirectly paying for customers using cards, unless card customers are charged a surgcharge / transaction fee on top of the price on the washing / drying.        
• Also most other Laundry's will have a minimum payment for their card systems if you use their dryers. In this Example you pay a minimum of $4 for 32min of dry time, you then decide to do another 8min,  you maybe be slugged with another $4 even if you only wanted to extend the dry time for another 8 minutes. 
• This is why we at HAWTHORN LAUNDRETTE we will not have a Card System.
• We have been in Business for over 30yrs, and we know what we are talking about.

         Save Money at HAWTHORN LAUNDRETTE

1. All you need to do is bring along some loose coins.
2. We are not an Up Market Laundry, we are a Classical Laundromat. 
3. We provide a FANTASIC - Wash and Dry - Laundry Service.
4. On average it will take less than 1hr to Wash and Dry, here.
5. Our Modern - Front Load Washers, provide a 2nd Rinse Cycle "Standard" 
6. 1000% SECURE as we "DO NOT" have a Card System.
7.    We don't have FIXED Minimum Time usage when using Dryers with Cards.
8.    We don't spam you with unwanted emails. 
9.    We don't store or have customer details. ( unless you contact us )
10.    We don't have 130+ fake reviews. 
11.    We don't have have PET parking.  ( Pets tied up outside ) Pets are our friends.
12.    We don't have FREE baskets.
13.    We don't have FREE WiFi
14.    We don't have a BitCoin KIOSK 
15.    We don't have Any - Surcharges ( Zero , Zip, None ).
16.    We don't have Any - Transaction Fees ( Zero , Zip, None ).
17.    We don't have PAYwave Fees ( Zero , Zip, None ).
18.    We don't have machines Jammed in a SMALL SPACE, with low ceilings ( Zero Ventilation = Hot and Stinky ) 
19.    We don't have a Snack / Drink machine ( we support our local businesses ).
20.    We don't have Crappy Music to be forced to Listen too.
21.    We don't have Stack Dryers ( CRAWLING on DIRTY Floors )
22.    We don't have a Change / Note Machine. 

          Everyone is equal, Everyone pays the SUPER low price EVERYDAY.

1. There is plenty of parking along Riversdale Rd and near by streets.
2. Please note there is a Clearway in the late afternoons during the weekdays.
3. ** Please check the street signs for exact times. **
4. Currently : Monday - Friday ( 4:30pm - 6:30pm ) Clearway ( You can park opposite to us )

Like any mechanical equipment New or Old, occasionally it will break down.

1. Note down the Washer / Dryer machine number.   ( eg. Washer #16 )
2. Note down the problem. ( eg. No Power )
3. Note down the Date / Time.  
4. Text a message to phone number 0436 444 108   ( with the above information ) or leave a note under the back door with your name.

    5.  Please leave a note "out of order" on the broken machine advising other customers 

         not to use that machine.   Thanks.

    6.  DO NOT attempt to fix the machine.

    7.  We will get back to you ASAP

Our Top Load / Front Load washing machines take approximately 30min.

Our Gas Dryers can take anywhere between 8 - 32min depending on the clothing fabric

and the amount of clothes you have in the dryers. 

 ( No minimum drying time, you decide how long you want to dry your clothes for. )
